Quick Tips
Best Time to Practice
Try breathing exercises first thing in the morning to set a calm tone for your day, or before bed to wind down.
Start Small
Begin with just 2-3 minutes per session. Consistency matters more than duration when building a habit.
Use the Watch
The Apple Watch app lets you practice anywhere with haptic guidance - no need to look at your screen.
Track Your Mood
Record your mood before and after sessions so you can notice patterns in your practice over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which breathing technique should I start with?
+
We recommend starting with Box Breathing (4-4-4-4) because it's simple to follow. Once comfortable, try 4-7-8 for sleep wind-down or the Physiological Sigh for a short reset.
How long should I practice each day?
+
Even 2-3 minutes of intentional breathing can be useful. A good starting goal is 5-10 minutes daily. The key is consistency - it's better to practice for 3 minutes every day than 20 minutes once a week.
How do I sync my Apple Watch?
+
Breathe Well automatically syncs between your iPhone and Apple Watch when both devices are nearby and connected. Sessions completed on your watch will appear in your iPhone app, and your settings will stay in sync. Make sure both apps are updated to the latest version.
What do the haptic patterns mean on Apple Watch?
+
The haptic feedback guides you through each breathing phase without looking at your watch:
• Rising pulses - Inhale
• Steady pulse - Hold
• Falling pulses - Exhale
• Gentle tap - Phase transition
How do I restore my premium purchase?
+
Go to Settings > Subscription > Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase. If you're still having issues, contact us at shankarduttsgd@gmail.com with your purchase receipt.
Can I use Breathe Well offline?
+
Yes! Breathe Well works completely offline. All breathing exercises, animations, and sounds are available without an internet connection. Your data is stored locally on your device.
How do I add widgets to my home screen?
+
Long-press on your home screen, tap the "+" button in the top corner, search for "Breathe Well," and choose your preferred widget size. We offer small (quick start), medium (daily progress), and lock screen widgets.
What's the difference between free and premium?
+
Free features: 5 core breathing techniques, basic animation, session tracking, daily streak, and Apple Watch app.
Premium features: All 10+ techniques, custom session durations, all animation styles, ambient sound mixer, on-device breathing coach, advanced statistics, unlimited reminders, and widgets.
Is my data private?
+
Absolutely. All your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or share any personal information. Read our full
Privacy Policy for details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
+
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Breathe Well, and tap "Cancel Subscription." You'll continue to have access until the end of your billing period.
How do I sync with Apple Health?
+
Go to Settings > Apple Health in the app and toggle on "Sync to Apple Health." You'll be prompted to grant Breathe Well access to read and write Mindful Minutes. Your breathing sessions will then automatically appear in the Health app.
How do challenges work?
+
In the Challenges tab, choose a daily, weekly, or monthly challenge and tap Start. Your progress updates as you complete breathing sessions, and completed challenges award XP and achievements.
How do reminders work?
+
Reminders are local notifications on your device. You can set breathing reminders in the app, and you can turn notification permission off anytime in iOS Settings.
